Cookies Policy
This policy explains cookies and similar technologies used on ie, the choices available to you, when external videos can load and how marketing tools are used.
Last updated: 15 October 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small files saved by your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can also remember information on your device. In this policy, we explain both. Some are needed for a requested function; others require your permission.
2. Necessary preference storage
Swiftly stores your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage under swiftly_cookie_preferences. This record includes whether you allowed external videos and marketing tools, the time of your choice and the version of the notice you saw. It does not contain your name, email address or enquiry details, and is not sent to Swiftly as a visitor profile.
We use the record for up to 180 days, then ask you to choose again. We may also ask again if the notice changes. The record stays on your device until replaced or cleared; an expired record is no longer treated as permission. This preference storage is necessary to honour your choice and is not itself used for advertising.
3. Optional external videos
Some pages contain YouTube videos provided by Google. These players do not load unless you allow External videos. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed address, youtube-nocookie.com, but this does not make playback anonymous or remove the need for your choice.
Once enabled, YouTube receives information such as your IP address, browser and device information, and may use cookies or similar storage when the player loads or you watch a video. Google controls this processing, including any interaction with your Google account and any international transfers. Third-party storage names and retention periods can change and depend on your interaction and account settings; Swiftly does not set their duration.
Read Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s information about cookies for details.
4. Marketing tools
Swiftly runs its own marketing campaigns and may introduce cookies or similar tools to measure how those campaigns perform and to show more relevant Swiftly advertising to people who have visited this website (sometimes called remarketing). These tools are optional: they will only be used where you have allowed Marketing in your cookie choices.
At the time of writing, no advertising or analytics tools are active on this website. When Swiftly introduces them, this policy will be updated to name the services used, what information they collect and how long they keep it, before they are switched on for visitors who have consented.
Allowing marketing tools is never a condition of using this website, the savings calculator or the enquiry form.
5. Other website services
Fonts are delivered through Google Fonts. Font requests disclose connection information, including your IP address and browser details, to Google; the font stylesheet itself does not set cookies.
Our hosting and enquiry services process connection information to deliver and secure the website. Enquiry spam protection uses server-side validation and rate limiting, rather than a third-party CAPTCHA. Information you submit through the enquiry form is not stored in the cookie preference record; how we use it is explained in our Privacy Policy. The property Listings link opens Offr, a separate website whose own privacy and cookie notices apply.
6. Your choices and withdrawal
You can accept or reject optional videos and marketing tools, or save an individual preference. Rejecting optional storage does not prevent you from reading the site, using the savings calculator or submitting an enquiry. Videos will remain unavailable until you consent.
Use Cookie settings in the footer at any time. Switching a category off and saving stops further use of that category and removes currently embedded players. This does not undo processing that already occurred or delete cookies that a third party has already placed; use your browser controls to clear those.
You can also delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser. Clearing the Swiftly preference record brings the banner back. If storage is blocked, we can apply your choice for the current visit but may not remember it next time.
7. Questions and updates
For questions about this policy or your personal information, contact Swiftly using our enquiry form. You can raise a data-protection concern with Ireland’s Data Protection Commission. We will update this page when our use of these technologies changes.
